Raphael Slawinksi - Saturday Night Featured Presenter!
« Reply #16 on: December 14, 2017, 08:46:11 am »
Big news coming from the Ice Fest HQ today - we just got word that Raphael Slawinski will be our featured presenter on Saturday night (February 3rd)! Raphael is known to be a quiet crusher who seeks out brilliant and burly routes in the alpine. He is known primarily for his first ascents in his home range of the Canadian Rockies, but he has also ticked mega FA's in Alaska and the Karakoram, receiving the Piolet d'Or for one of those routes in 2014. Check out http://www.mwv-icefest.com/blog/ to read more about Raphael, and get psyched, because this is going to be good! Big thanks to Arc'teryx for the support in making it all happen!

« Reply #17 on: December 15, 2017, 07:41:35 am »
Morning Folks! La Sportiva will be back in the house for the 25th Annual Mount Washington Valley Ice Fest! We know that Sportiva makes year íround footwear for all the things that we love Ė rock climbing, trail running, skiing, and high altitude mountaineering, but this season it is all about the ice and these guys always bring an incredible line of warm, rugged, and light boots that are perfect for a New Hampshire winter of kicking and swinging. And itís not just their boots that are great Ė itís their people too! So be sure to swing by the La Sportiva Demo table to sample the goods!

How about her female speed records of Rainier (4:48) and Denali (21:06)? Pretty amazing! We're psyched she's back and we can't think of anyone better to teach the Ladies Mixed Climbing Clinic!.

Patagonia Bringing Josh Wharton & Anne Gilbert Chase!
« Reply #25 on: January 02, 2018, 06:54:47 pm »
Our friends at Patagonia are sending out athletes & guides Josh Wharton & Anne Gilbert Chase to the Mount Washington Valley Ice Fest! We caught up with them and asked them a few questions on why they dig coming back! Did you know Josh grew up in NH?

MWV Ice Fest: What do you dig about the MWV Ice Fest?
Josh Wharton: Itís a nice grass roots festival that doesnít have a commercial feel. I enjoy seeing friends, and acquaintances I rarely see from my younger days in New England. Even though Iíve lived in Colorado for the majority of my life spending time in NH feels a little like coming home.

Julbo is Back!
« Reply #28 on: January 05, 2018, 08:30:37 am »
Julbo Eyewear is back! We're throwing it retro here with the images since this company has been around for over a century. With the first Chamonix crystal hunters in need of eye protection to the first glacier sunglasses in 1950, this company is still pushing the technology and boundaries. This year they are bringing along their newest addition, the Shield sunglasses. You can check them out at their booth at Ice Fest. Huge props to a company that has been outfitting so many athletes for many years. Welcome back Julbo Eyewear! "See" you soon!

Check out what the Shield sunglasses look like on our blog: http://www.mwv-icefest.com/blog/
