Climbed Sea of Holes this morning and discovered that the large healthy looking pine tree that was the rap station for the end of pitch four was 100% uprooted and is now laying on its side (relatively secure looking). The little bit of earth there was pulled up as well and not much loose rock observed (compared to the Recluse Tree).

Bottom line is there is no 5.7 finish to Sea of Holes, plan to do the 5.8 move to access the bolted anchor on that variation.

I'll post some photos tomorrow on my blog.

And use care around all of our tree anchors... this tree would not have raised an eyebrow last year and is 100% compromised now...
