Infrastructure funds are tight.

Great old pic! I wish I could see one of this spot before the train corridor was blasted... Definitely one of my favorite places in NH!

Not for nothing but....with all the climbing available in Crawford Notch, "elephant gully" is really just a little shitbag of an ice climb.

Not many 100 foot almost pure ice climbs that have such a short approach... I find this a fun early season route before it gets filled in with snow and a great end-of-day got 30 minutes to spare quickie...

Frist time I drove the Kanc it was a one-lane dirt "fire-road" from about the Hancock/Osceola pull out to Passaconaway.  That would have been about 1963 +/- a yr.

Re   E.Head...I don't think it's going to be too easy the either get around, or over that wire fence.  Maybe we'll need a new rating system, let's see..."WF-1 feels like 5.4-5.5" ....
