Hey folks!  Clinics are up on the website!!  You can pre-register online: make sure you follow up on the phone with the IMCS climbing office (M-F) to get your desired clinic on lock!
Below is a shot of guest guide Karsten Delap guiding on Repentance last year!  We're psyched to welcome Karsten back to NH from Brevard, NC where he is owner/guide at Fox Mountain Guides, for another rad Ice Fest up here in the Northeast! Photo: Austin Schmitz

Hope everyone is out getting some vitamin D somewhere on this clear, warm Saturday! If you're still climbing on wet soggy old ropes, time to check out Sterling Rope Company, Inc. on the blog today. They are the official rope of MWV Ice Fest and we're psyched to partner with this Maine based company for another year!

Two day clinics are filling up fast! Each of these clinics are run Friday-Saturday and Saturday-Sunday, and are a great opportunity to get skills dialed Ice Fest weekend. Call the IMCS - International Mountain Climbing School office to sign up! (603)356-7064

LEARN TO LEAD: Leading is very rewarding but can also be dangerous and scary if you are not prepared technically, physically and mentally. The course covers advanced anchor & belay systems, racking of gear, rope management, and route finding while on a multi-pitch climb. Day two will deal with placing screws from awkward stances, using alternate protection systems, and focusing on protecting the climb, not the move. We will cover advanced anchor & belay systems, single and double rope management, descending options and route finding while on multi-pitch climbs. Sponsored by Outdoor Research.

GLACIER TRAVEL AND CREVASSE RESCUE: This two-day intensive course will cover the skills of knots, friction hitches, roped travel techniques, self arrest, snow and ice anchors and extrication techniques. This practical “nuts and bolts” course will focus on developing the skills you will need to safely move over glaciers and around crevasses.
