Scotland Trip 2018
« on: July 18, 2018, 10:34:22 AM »
Spent six weeks in Scotland this spring, the first week with a North Conway luminary.

Climbed at 20+ different places, the best of which were the sea stacks and the sea cliffs on Skye and Lewis. For rock climbing in Scotland, May is the month to go.

Also got to see some old friends such as Paul Ross (founder of IME and IMCS in North Conway), Pete Long (who worked as a guide for Paul at IMCS in 1980/81), Richard McHardy (also worked as a guide for Paul at IMCS and together they did the first British ascent of the Salathe Wall), Hamish McInnes (inventor of Terrordactyl ice tools), etc.

Longer article to appear in December 2018 AMC Appalachia Journal.

Great trip.
