Playing cards for climbing
« on: December 04, 2019, 04:40:46 PM »
I wanted to get this out to the climbing community. I am working on producing rock climbing themed playing cards where I have replaced all of the traditional suits of Clubs, Diamonds, Spades, and Hearts with trad gear Pitons, Cams, Nuts, and Hexes. I also have re-illustrated all of the face cards. Also, $1.00 from each deck sold is going to Access Fund.

My personal favorite is replacing the Joker with The Free soloist. Would love any input.

Here is my website: www.mtncards.cc

Here is the pre-order link for the first run of decks. As of posting I have 58 decks sold and need to sell 365 decks to fund the first run. Any support is greatly appreciated. I am happy to answer any questions.

WOW they look great man, I definitely dig what you've done. I play Bridge regularly and would get in. HOWEVER, you need to take PayPal. I don't want to setup Apple Wallet. Also...I hope that they will be a good quality card. I'd even pay a little more if they were premium. for those of us who play regularly, there is a difference.

Thank you for sharing the stoke and providing input! I took your advice and connected PayPal into the store so no Apple Wallet is necessary.

As to the quality of the cards the cards are being printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPC) producers of Bicycle playing cards. The paper stock the cards are being printed on is USPC premium playing card stock. My goal is to produce casino level playing cards that have a long life span and can handle heavy abuse.

Let me know if you any other questions. More than happy to answer them!

cool... DONE.

I really hope you hit your goal. I think this is really cool. this is the kind of thing I would be interested in giving as Xmas presents, wish it was actually avilable right now.

PS - after the PP transaction is complete, you should have it go to a order confirmation page rather than the order page. just my thoughts.

actually I don't think it works. I got a notice from PP asking if I wanted to complete my transaction & I looked at my PP account balance and it doesn't show up.

I apologize that the PayPal did not work for you. I thought I had set it up correctly and everything should have run smoothly.

I just finished re-setting up PayPal and ran two payments through once myself and I had a friend run the other through. Both where processed and PayPal should now be working.

Thank you for letting me know there was an issue! That was a huge help. I am working hard to hit the goal and every order counts. The more people I can get the word out to the best chance I have of getting the cards to everybody!
