I had a blast at Quincy Qarries and Rattlesnake rock this weekend.  It was 50!  Great first day of winter.

got out to Hammond Pond, MA to do some bouldering. Showed up to an empty parking lot around noon. Left a few hours later to a half-full lot. At least 5 other boulderers around. Great day.

I agree Tom. the boulders down at Humphrey's get traffic all year 'round.

Hey Al, I have a question that you can answer by looking out your window. Whats the airation buttress looking like right now, specifically tourist treat. If there is a warm day soon and it looks dry enough I will for sure be up there. And this time i'm not gonna fall.
thanks

today it looked pretty dry on the face, but there is snow & crusty stuff on the top slab. simply walking off after you top out could be more treacherous that the actual climb. if I were going to climb up there during the winter I might be really tempted to hike up & put a loop of rope right at the edge to clip into.

FWIW when I first moved up here I was walking around up there one afternoon in the fall & slipped on a wet patch & it scared me 1/2 to death. <wry grin>
