Hiker found Dead
« on: October 11, 2005, 07:43:02 AM »

I recently received an email that said a hiker (Female, about 47 years old I believe) had gone missing in the Thornton area. She went out for a day hike on Wednesday the 5th? She never returned to her car. I received the email late last night, and before I could write back, I had another unread email in my folder stating she had been recovered and that she had passed. Does anyone have any details on the story? I can't find it anywhere?

I read in the Conway Daily Sun yesterday she had parked at the Tram Parking Lot at Cannon, presumedly took the Tram up, then fell down a nearby steep drainage.  I don't have the paper with me but will look for it later...

Thanks DMan!

I did hear that it was near the tram, but not sure what happened. It turns out that she was a friend of a friend and they were pretty upset about the whole ordeal (understandably so). "Thank you for the information"!
