Retrofitting Quarks with Griprest or equivalent

(1/1)

tfitton:
Had a question for users of Quarks.  Over this past weekend I took the leashes off my pair of 3 yr old Quarks and loved it but these Quarks don't have the curved griprest at the bottom and I think this may moderate the "forearm" burn a little bit.  Does anyone know if there is a way to retrofit a griprest or equivalent on the older Quarks or do I need to look at purchase of new set of axes?

Griffin:
A griprest is available from Petzl for a pretty small price, I had my local shop order them for me.  Fitting them on to your current quarks is a pretty easy operation, only some minor trimming of the rubber on the bottom of the grip and you are good to go.
