Do you boulder or climb at Smugglers Notch State Park? If so, please attend an informal gathering and discussion about current and future access issues at Smuggs, hosted by CRAG-VT.

This FREE event will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006, from 6:00-8:00pm at Petracliffs in Burlington. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. For directions, visit http://petracliffs.com/indoor/facilities/location.html.

Share your opinions and learn about:

    * responsible and effective stewardship of the area
    * high levels of use and environmental impacts
    * concerns about the unique and fragile flora and fauna
    * help brainstorm about how to solve problems and identify areas where efforts can best be applied
    * help ensure that Smuggs will remain OPEN to bouldering and climbing in the future!

Following the discussion, those in attendance may climb until closing (10pm) for only $5.00!! (Waiver required)

For more information, please visit the "Smugglers Notch Bouldering Town Meeting" thread on CRAG-VT's Community Forum at http://www.cragvt.org.

We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you at this event!

Thanks to all who attended the meeting Saturday at Petracliffs. It was a successful event made up of people who participate in all types of outdoor activities (not just climbers).

There were plenty of opinions expressed, to the benefit of all. CRAG-VT appreciates all points of view and is thankful to those who let their voices be heard.
