Ned Green Book/Fundraiser
« on: July 10, 2006, 09:41:55 AM »

CUTTING A BOND WITH THE LONG TRAIL, Ned Green's Long Trail Journals compiled by his mother, Clare Green, has been released and is available for purchase from and The proceeds from sale of this book are being donated to a scholarship fund at his alma mater, Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield, and to the Green Mountain Club.

I thought there might be some interest in this book from the community here at neclimbs. Ned was the caretaker of the Harvard Cabin when he died in an ice climbing accident in Damnation Gully. Ned was a talented writer and poet, and an incredible free-spirit: I expect the book will be a great read.

Have a quiche, now, or maybe a tort.  You deserve it!

I like to keep things simple, even if it's faaaken painful and miserable.
