timmy o'neill, one of the world's fastest and funniest climbers, has been called the tiger woods and robin williams of climbing. if you're not exactly sure what that means, don't worry, because you can come find out for yourself. テつ timmy is a native of philadelphia, hailing from east landsdowne, where as a kid he was a natural climber. テつ at 19, he moved west, and eventually wound up in yosemite, where he found a home living the life as a "dirtbag climber." テつ now living in boulder, timmy is known as one of the world's best speed climbers. テつ timmy's lightning fast ascent of the nose on el cap with dean potter, in 3 hours and 24 minutes, shattered the then existing record. テつ timmy's irreverent approach to the slideshow has challenged the accepted format, as his scathing with and thoroughly modern approach make his presentation a must for the young and young at heart. テつ timmy's current show features his record speed ascent of the nose on el cap as well as an expedition to the wild lands of patagonia, in southern argentina. テつ timmy's style is humor meets rock climbing, sort of like stand-up comedy crossed with the first alpine style ascent of torre egger (considered the most difficult summit in south america). having also just returned from el potrero chico in mexico and filming a project with the bbc, timmy is sure to have some more interesting stories. テつ  on top of it all timmy will of course be showing his hilarious and entertaining film, "urban ape," which is part of peter mortimer's "front range freaks." テつ come check it out on thursday, april 17, at 8pm and hear from and talk with timmy as returns home to philly to get back in touch with his roots and share his stories with us all.
