Difficult to believe such a wanton, despicable act would be carried out by a fellow climber. This person(s), if ever found out, should be ostrcized from the climbing community and left to do his beer drinking and environmental distruction in the flatlands. The same type of damage was done drilling on the old man decades ago. The pressure of the wedged keg may cause the rocks to crack. Do gooders will be tempted to epoxy the cracks, eventually ruining the entire climb. Frost wedging will do the rest and M-G will fall to the talus as did the Old Man.  :'(

any way you cut it, it's a DRAG that somebody did this. now somebody has to go up & get it & bring it down, or carry the damn thing up the climb with them, or toss it off & litter the talus field with it. there aren't any good solutions except for the folks who did it would take care of it & that's not likely to happen.
