Petzl ice screws
« on: November 07, 2007, 09:21:51 AM »
Does anyone out there use these?  How do they compare with the Turbo Express screws?  I need a few more screws for this coming winter and wanted to see if it would be worthwhile to check these ones out.

Thanks!
Pat

they are actually Charlet screws. I have a couple and I realy like them. the hanger is nice because you can spin it in or out with a quickdraw still attached.

I have a few (3-4) on my rack and really seem to like them. More importantly, is that my second likes them as he can leave the runners clipped in and use it for leverage to unscrew the pro. It is really nice for cold hands and and frozen fingers that aren't cooperating!  ;)

(IMO) Placing them is no easier than the BD Turbo Express which I am a fan of as well!
