it's a party, it's a discussion...

in case you don't get the Report, or somehow haven't caught the ad on the home page...

this Saturday is the big shin-dig in North Conway. if you're a climber and spend any time in the Mount Washington Valley you definitely don't want to miss this event. slideshows will be given by Joe Coty (he put up tons of climbs here including Ventilator), Ed Webster, Henry Barber, Jim Surette and Tim Kemple, Jr.  it really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. it starts at 6:30 at the Mt. Cranmore Pub.

hope to see you there.

I certainly hope that you were there Saturday nite. in spite of the rain there were over 125 climbers in attendance. I thought that the slideshows were entertaining and well done. sure, everyone isn't a great presenter, and some of the slides were less than steller, but hearing the stories of Joe Cote, Steve Arsenault, Ed Webster and others was really enlightening. I got to talk with Joe and Steve  a bit after the show and it was great to hear some more about their experiences. the discussion about the state of the cliff was quite interesting. lots of opinions and ideas floated about. the cool thing is that people heard each other, and what more can we ask for?

I'll have some more about it and some pictures in the Report next week. thanks to everyone who helped out and showed up.
