Ended up having a great weekend. Went to Cathedral on Sat, WH Sun and Cannon on Mon.

Sounds like you had an A+ weekend -which is all that really matters in the end.

rainbow slabs, table mountain slabs, square ledge, painted walls... were very popular in the earlly 90s look up the routes on them

These all violate the "short approach" criteria except Square Ledge that violates the "greater than 5 pitches" criteria.  Actually are there any routes on Rainbow/Painted slabs > 5 pitch?

I still maintain, it can't be done.
