can you spell "slow start?"
« on: December 02, 2001, 03:38:47 PM »
although the ice season certainly has gotten off to a slow start, it's not all that different from a lot of years. sometimes we are climbing by Thanksgiving, but sometimes not. at least we're getting the rain that we need. now when it gets cold I think things will be OK.

what do you think?

hope you're right!

We better have some good ice by New Years...second semester doesn't start til Jan 15 for me so til then I'll be spending most of my time up in the mountains.

I heard it's supposed to cool down a bit next weekend. Wait and see I guess..

(some snow wouldn't hurt either eh...)

Hey Al,

Just got back from the Canadian Rockies and the ice is great up there even though they are have a kind of slow start. we got on good climbs like polar circus, weeping wall, cascade, grotto falls, wicked wanda, malignant mushroom. luther says hello and to get your butt up there for some climbing!!  ;D

take care,

chris

Russian - well we've had some rain the past week & things are pretty sopping up here. all we need is some consistent cold weather & I am SURE it will come. <grin>

sounds good guys. it's definitely colder today & maybe in 4-5 days we'll have some ice to speak of. if you want to get thinking the right way read the Polar Circus report.
