Cant remember now where I saw it but the northeast is supposed to be wet this summer. If I can find the map I'll post a link so we can all plan trips accordingly.

I'm going to work hard on these rainy days ( aside from reading NEClimbs) to keep my boss happy so I can shift my work days around the good weather. One benefit to having your step dad as boss.

Will it ever stop raining?
When guiding camp canoe trips in northern Maine BITD, my answer to this question was "it always has..."-- it didn't satisfy the campers, either :D

The idiom "All bleeding eventually stops" comes to mind.
If it's overhanging, I'm probably off-route.

hehe  i've always heard it "The bleeding always stops...eventually"     as an athletic trainer this cracks me up.   My other favorite is  "Don't worry, this won't hurt me a bit"    ;D

The long weekend was beautiful.. i'm not sure where you guys were climbing but it certainly wasn't rumney cuz the place was empty compared to a normal weekend up there.    sprinkled for like 20 mins saturday morning..  we ate breakfast and the rocks weren't even wet.     Sunday it poured for a half hour or so .. we climbed overhanging stuff with good cover  and things dried out for a perfect afternoon haha

Al  i'm way ahead of my riding this year..  already have 1000mi and the good weather hasn't even started yet!  Kanc is going down this year

Come on guys, we live in New England!  What ever happened to our motto "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it'll change!"  :P

hey JakeDatc man, that's good mileage for late May...congrats. I'm only a bit over 700 so far. [sigh] I rode 92 miles on Memorial Day. over the Kanc, thru N Woodstock and over Gonzo Pass, right & past Glenclff & Owl's Head to Rt 10, right to N Haverhill, over Kinsman & back over the Kanc. 7800 feet of climbing in 7 hours. good fun.

you wanna ride the Kanc some time give a holler.
