An awesome day of bouldering at Monument Cove
« on: March 20, 2010, 10:25:06 PM »
Melyssa and I headed down to Monument Cove to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather and bone dry rock.  It was awesome to see how packed Acadia was, and even Monument Cove was busy.  In fact, after 20 minutes of climbing my boss came down for some bouldering, and I got to show him some of my favorite lines and play a bit of one-up-manship.  I was totally owned in the end with my hands shredded and all my strength sucked out, but I haven't had so much fun in a long time.  Melyssa and I then moved over to the left side of the cove for some easier climbing for Melyssa before heading back home.  All in all I was very happy to nail a V1 and a V1+ problem on my first day out; too bad the camera died after only one photo.  :-\

It is better to not summit and wish you had, than to summit and wish you hadn't.
