Old Crow (5.9) at Humphrey's
« on: April 12, 2010, 08:14:37 PM »
Old Crow (5.9)

Directions:  Hike along the left of the cliff until you get to the last obvious climbs. Walk downhill about 300' to a clean slab with a line of bolts in the middle and two more bolts just right of a small right-facing corner. Continue up a small incline to an obvious ledge with a couple of trees. This is just before One More Adventure and just right of an obvious left facing corner that is usually wet.

Pitch 1: Just right of the obvious left facing corner, climb up and right on easy ledges. Place small gear in horizontal flakes before you clip the first bolt. Continue past another bolt on good rock to a ledge just below the headwall. Clip the bolt in the middle of the headwall and work your way up to another bolt just over the lip. Pull over the lip using a pocket and small holds (crux). Continue on easier ground to the common bolt on the route to the left and pad up to the shared 2-bolt anchor.

Gear: draws and some small gear

Descent: rappel the route
