The Beer Thread
« on: May 11, 2011, 06:23:23 PM »

Since some people think all threads eventually turn to beer........ I am having a very nice Sierra Nevada Torpedo right now. Good hops, nice bite and I'm pretty sure I'm having another.

Now the limited edition Hoptimum... THAT was an IPA  :)

If you're near Conway stop by Discount Beverage II (across from Almost There) and pick up a sixer of "Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale". You will not be disappointed.

My current favorite. Check out some of those reviews!

A timely thread.  I will pick up some Torpedo on my next trip to the 'store'.
Does anyone know where I can get some Fat Tire around Boston?  People keep telling me about this and I just HAVE to try some! :)

Marty's in Watertown has the biggest selection that I know of.

Fat Tire is abit "red" for my tastes, but OK. Now Dales.. that's good. Let me know if you find it.

If anyone knows it would be Nick - that's the only large scale American beer he likes - but I don't think it is distributed east of the Mississippi.

oooohhhh speaking of Dogfish... another favorite of mine but to high ABV to drink more than one or two a night, the "Palo Santo"

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/10099/33832

They sell this in 4-packs at the various discount bev. stores around the valley but Discount Bev II has the best price, $9.99 I believe.

Careful, this stuff is 12% but it masks it well...

Stone's "Arrogant Bastard" is a drink worthy of its name, in a 22 oz bottle-- a couple of those and you'll join the arrogant bastard club!
