boulders in the Whites

If the sun ever comes out, I'd like to blow off work for a few days and do some bouldering and camping in the Whites.  Anyone care to help me put together a tick list?  I don't mind hiking(actually would prefer a bit of solitude).  Is the Boulder Loop Trail of the beaten path? Thanx all

King Ravine- lots of stuff up to V11 and yes, you'll be hiking. Weetamoo Boulder @ Chocurua. Band M/ Albany slab. Green's & Owl's (tons).

Boulder Loop trail is certainly not off the beaten path. It is right off the Kanc and is an easy 2 hour loop hike so it is very popular.

Boulder Loop is well traveled, not to mention many take part of it to get to Sundown for roped climbing.

Prolly correct. So much stuff to do once it melts though. Good stuff under Albany slab which should dry pretty quick, up to V7 or so.

Bear Mountain Slab off the K near Rainbow has some nice high balls and the added factor of crossing the river with a pad  .... you can float away if you fall in  :D

The Mt Washington Boulder up in Jackson near the top of Switchback Road.

Yeah this is a month late but also one of the better times to hit up these places.

Do the Caps Ridge Trail on Jefferson... the "caps" have great stuff on them. Next head to Edmands Col between Jefferson & Adams, again beautiful rock and lots of it. One can get to this ether over Jefferson's summit or via Cornice Trail 
Also heading south towards Washington there is quite a lot of stuff, like near Sphinx Col & Mt. Clay.

There is hiking involved...of the UP! kind, so those funny mattress things are out. However, bouldering V-easy in this area far out weighs V-whatever deep in the woods.....

Ok her it is!! The best back country bouldering in the Whites is in the woods below Mt Sugarloaf in Zeland Notch. You park at the normal pay parking for Oscar and Sugarloaf. Walk up the road past the trail head for Sugar and not to far on the right is a gated logging road. Head in there and all over the woods is a giant playground of P-way sized boulders. They need lots of cleang and you will need lots of bug spray. good luck

right on the trail to Sugarloaf is a pair of huge boulders. not very far in either...

Along jericho road, on the way into Stairs, there are a couple of boulders right at the end. 30 second approach.

There is a boulder right in the middle of the Lakeview approach trail on Cannon that I'm pretty sure people have done stuff on over the years. Then a little further up the trail there is that mantle move you have to do which I'm pretty sure is almost as hard as anything on Lakeview - especially with a rack of beers in your hand.
