Gambled thinking I was going to get rained on and instead got cooked by the sun.  Did 70 miles around Lake Winnipesaukee...who knew there were that many hills!!

if you are into a bike ride on Memorial Day, Monday, then check this one out. we're starting at 9:30 at the Sugar Hill view area on the Conway side of the Kanc. over the Kanc, into Woodstock and over Gonzo Pass, through Olivarian Notch to North Haverhill, back over Kinsman Notch, into Lincoln, back over the Kanc. it's 92 miles and 7800' of climbing. you can also meet us in Lincoln and just do the shorter loop that's about 55 miles.

6th year in a row I've ridden this...

Nice Al..   hilliest ride i've done  is 100mi  at 6500'   i've done that twice now.   They are doing it again this year on July 3  so i have a month left to get ready.   i'm basically a month behind in my miles over last year due to all this freaking rain.   last year i was doing my first century of the year this past weekend.. but i'll wait till next month to get on it.    have to get a few metrics out of the way to get ready.

Pavement pussies-

Sand canyon in the Sierra eastside-

4,500' up  not to bad. 7.000' down and then 3,000' back to the beers.

The sand is kinda tough from all the mountain lions.

Try. the Cherry Mountain loop as well , good combo and not to many cars.

Sawyer River Road to the Kanc  and back Bear Notch

Actually, the threat of rain kept everyone away.   :D
