If any of you get out CO way this is apretty cool area. Short, hardish lines with great camping and decent food/beer 3 miles away. Anyway-

I was out there today (climbing cracks) and the looks I got were astonishing !  :D "What are those ?)  --"Stiff Friends "   ???

Pretty good5.8-5.10 cracks among the bolts.

John, what the heck were you doing at a mostly sport crag? :) Would love to see some pics.  Volcanic tuft.  I hear it is great to climb on.  Home to Bullet the Blue Sky which, if memory serves, was quite the talked-about sport route BITD, but not to be confused with Bullet the New Sky down at New River.
Hope you had fun and plan to go back.

So that's where the 5.8- 5.10 trad climbers went! ;D

I spent about 2 hours there last September with some friends from Salida; pretty place-- unfortunately we got rained off -- an unusual deluge for the rest of the day, but the area needed rain, so...; we went to 11 Mile Canyon the next day and climbed on the granite domes-- excellent! Like to get back to both areas.

YA- Bullet is a sweet looking route, not steep by today's standards but pretty cool. Bob D'A told me it's solid at 12+ so maybe i should have tried it BITD. The routes are short and the rock is a bit harsh, but a good scene for the 5.11 climber.

Eleven Mile is really good, awesome rock with no approach. The new hot spot is Rampart, just north and around 9,000' SO GOOD.

I was gonna load a photo of the face visible from my driveway but it's to large (the face and the photo). You can seeit on my websitethough -ranchwatch.net
