Alpine Bouldering

There is tons of potential up high in the presidentials.  Ive been up to king ravine and was not happy i left my pad in the car.  Id like to start developing alpine bouldering up there probably next summer.  Whos got beta?

To what extent does this alpine bouldering involve leaving the trails? I'm assuming it has to and that brings up the issue of trampled vegetation at the base of those boulders. I'd hate for this to happen.

That is a concern.  When exploring king ravine you need to stay on the boulders.  Pretty much the whole floor is boulders.

You're right King Ravine might not be a problem. But I have seen potential on the ridge line of the Predidentials that would cause lots of impact if bouldered.

Ican'tput some flagtape up for a a pproach toa 600' cliff 'cause it;s a "wilderness" ..but I can spend $70 to stay in fucking hut...
