Mystery Shovel

The explanation is simple. The shovel is symbolizing, the way to dig yourself out of the hole you are in, i.e. get down

dunno how long it's been there, but it is your basic wooden shaft, not anything that is mountaineering related. I've come down that way several times in the past few years & hadn't noticed it in the past. I just figure it must have a story... <grin>

several folks have sent me email saying that it's been there for 20 or so years. amazing!!! what's really funny is that I hadn't noticed it before. maybe it was covered with snow or something. or, more likely, I was just so tired that I missed it. <grin> now, I really wonder who put it there.

George hurly's been arround a while as well. must be some old coot that knows the story? It would take me a while to sort though all those old chromes. I know i have the shot, just not sure i want to go down that memory lane right now? Maby, we'l see?
