A short trip
« on: November 07, 2011, 07:12:11 PM »
HA- I went down into the valley today to brew beer, 30 and sunny at 9,000'. Did a nice 440 gallon of IPA and headed home.  33 degrees with sleet and a bit of snow ? Kinda like NE   :D  40 minutes later, heavy snow and 18 degrees, heading for zero tonight.

AAAHHHH.. Jameson Toddy's

You must be careful John. I may have to dig out some old photos of our climbing heroes at party central at my old house in Intervale and post them. People will be able to see just how Strandman learned to consume 440 gallons of the suds.

Are you at liberty to mention which brewpub...?

Ahhh that's a bit of distance. Well if I ever decide to climb Crestone Needle I'll know where to drink. I was mostly just hoping you didn't say the one in Estes Park, because I thought the beer was pretty bad there when I went a couple years back.

I can almost see Crestone Needle from my place.  The south face of blanca is the prize,   1,200' or so, topping at 14,200 and one route.
