Horrible, horrible weather here today. Snow last night that turned into slush and then rain at about 2am. It's been raining steadily since then and doesn't look like it's stopping soon. I'll bet we get close to 4 inches out of this! Getting cold tonight and staying that way at least through Sunday. Ice should start building quickly.

4" of rain? Nooooooo!  >:(

I don't get it. I'm in North Carolina for the holiday and it was raining and 32/33 degrees all day yesterday. I figured it would be all snow for sure by the time it got up there.

...if that's the view from your house John you're living in an amazing part of Colorado. Somewhere in the southwest part if I remember - Pagosa Springs? I don't get down that way much but might have to the next time I'm visiting my friends in Glenwood Springs!

left the house at 9am this morning in the fog. I couldn't see Cathedral from my back yard. got up above Bartlett and the fog was gone and it was totally bluebird. coming home at 12:30 after climbing p1 of Standard and just below Attitash we drove into the fog again. 4:12pm and the fog is still here and I can barely make out Cathedral from my back yard.

sheesh!!!

Looks like a good weekend in the valley.  The NOAA forecast has two warnings on it :)
Wind chill advisory and winter storm warning!
