A hearty congratulations are in order

 Congratulations to our own local climbers, Mark Ritchey and Freddie Wilkinson along with Steve Swenson from Seattle, on winning the coveted Piolet d'  Or Award. This is like winning the Superbowl guys.

For real though these guys deserve a major show of support from the new England climbing community. This stuff is so far off the radar of the general public the least we could good is say "NICE WORK FELLAS"

I know most of us do not do what we do as for the approval of others or to say look what i can do but non the less when you do something big you do fee a bit proud and these guys take that whole "THING/DEAL" to a level most of us will never see.

I just got off the phone with Mark.

He told me that he felt like a movie star over there. There was even a parade in the street. They treated the team like royalty with a party every night. Good for them!

Local boys make it BIG!  Definitely psyched for these guys...amazing athletes and great ambassadors for the sport! Congrats you guys!!
