I saw this thing about Alex and looked back at some climbing notes of mine. We did Watkins in 30 hrs. (including a 6 hr biv) then spent the next 2 days in the river , drinking.

Solo in 2:20    ... not bad  ;D

I have a feeling Freerider is going to go down solo within the year. He's hitting heavy endurance stuff...

Hah, I knew HF had a nickname .... just could not remember what it is until Strand chimed in.
When did he first set a speed record for The Nose?  Early '90's?

i was in the Valley when bachar and Croft first did El Cap/ half Dome.. around 16 hours. They did the Nose in 6;30 or something.

Hans was in the bar (what a shock) and said " they don't know shit about climbing fast". i think he broke the record the next week.

people always gave hans shit... but he stands pretty tall
