The story was that during his first attempt to break the Nose record, Hans falls off on some 5.10 early on-"so your the great hans Florine"     A couple pitches later as he flies by- "You got that right"

I just came back from the Valley, and ran into both Honnold and Tommy Caldwell. There both very personable and nice guys.

I climbed a whole day with Rob Pizm, who is a good friend of Honnold.

I was very impressed with Pizm, who is a weekend warrior, being a full time teacher and family man.

There are so many incredible climbers out West. Pizm did the Rostrum on our last day, and he described it as "mellow".

Since he has done 5.13+ trad. 1st ascents, I can understand how he would find the Rostrum "mellow".

There are so many incredible climbers out West.

I met young climber, about fifteen, climbing in the yos as a training. They have the place and the time to train and a mentality of trad climber. when they have school, they stay in shape by doing sport route and are coming increasingly solid.

I found hard to have as much climbing hours than I went. When I arrived in the yos, I certainly want to be a hannold or peter croft. But the reality is different. As I went to cathedral ledge, I try to found people who want to climb three or four route in a day. It is not evident as I was some times to tire to climb because of injury or people are not motivate to do that.

I did good, this year in the yosemite, but I can improve. To imitate hannold, I won't say that I am going to climb half dome in a day. I think there is a better way. I want to train to be able to do it.

Yes- about 6 hours, not too fast but remember my "advanced" age. We passed one party, who probably got benighted.
 Also Higher Spire on the last day. I forgot my chalk and proceeded to piss and moan. John Bragg was above me laughing his ass off.
