I think that's an hour slow.  I was on the Bike at 5:30 this morning :P.  I can't stop thinking about a rematch on that crack.

Wonder where is last gear was, and if it was a screw if it would have held... such a timely save from those climbers...

That did not look like alot of fun. He must not of seen what he was getting into or he would have trended climbers right and been better off.

I love how calm and cool the coupple that tossed the rescue line were. most likly saved the guys life. it sounds like they climbed it earlier before the sun turned everything to complete crapola. Often the difference between decent ice and complete death slush is an hour or less...

I thought they sounded a bit tense... at least the guy did... they seemed to be making it more complicated than it needed to be. Lower a locker ready to go and stop fussing so much...

All in all well done for sure though...

yeah, I thought it took a long time.of course we don't know how their setup/process was at that time. they might not have had a loose end of the rope to drop. they could have both been tied in and had the rope(s) through the anchor already tied together, their belay devices on the back of their harnesses and perhaps a spare locker not immediately handy. I would guess that they were probably NOT on a gear anchor in that slush!

whew - imagine how they would have felt if they had watched the guy go for a ride right in front of them? alls well that ends well tho...
