The Booze Thread
« on: July 15, 2012, 08:38:23 PM »

In retail some day are harder than others.  Today we had some wierd customers, all types of wierd.  It was crazy busy and someone called out sick, leaving us short handed, so I a few drinks before dinner.

I've got a fair amount of craft beer, (some High Life and good wine) in the house, but the past few days I have been drinking a great number of rum based drinks.

An 18oz glass
3/4 full with large ice cubes
1/4ish spiced rum
1/4ish coconut rum
1/4ish+ Polar orange & vanilla seltzer
top off with orange juice
shake - stir - whatever

I gotta eat.  Stay hydrated peeps.
Joe.

I'll bring this one back even if it's a one man thread.  I like to hear myself type.

Large coffee mug,
1/2 hot chocolate,
1/3 peppermint schnapps,
top with whipped cream or not,

Sounds foofy and maybe it is but it damn sure hits the spot after shoveling.

tequila, surprisingly, goes well with hot chocolate. especially if you use and amber or dark tequila.

"tastes like 'french toast..."

"not your mamma's 'girl scout cookie...'"

"so yummy..."

none of this sounds like "booze" to me.

do these "drinks" come with those little umbrellas in them?  you float "fruit" in 'em?

people, this is a CLIMBING website, so if you're going to talk about "booze*," let's talk about "booze*..."

how about a: "stormy nights," a mix of ginger beer and whatever hi-octane booze you have....

or black-berry brandy, right out of the bottle...

or my winter fave: very, very, very dry martini, straight up. simple, stick a gin bottle in the nearest snow bank and you're good to go...  un-screw the top, swill, eat an olive; repeat....

running on fumes,

Why does booze have to be bad? It can't taste good?

Chew on some Lagavulin if you want something strong and flavorful....my favorite straight up drink!
