I am very happy to say ankle fusions are on the way out right now. Ankle replacements are coming into their own. I would still hold off a year or two before I advise any one to get one though. Most ortho Doc's haven't done many yet and there are new devices in the approval stages.

I've had four boring ones left since 1976.   Once I started rock climbing, hiking up Mount Cabot sounded about as appealing as disco dancing.
