Hey Elm,

Cool. I got a kick out of that video, since it brought back images of long ago. I also used a 1/4 inch plastic tube to measure the depth of the hole.

Just remember to close your eyes when you blow. :) I thought his improvised tools were amazing. Nothing like seeing how a pro does it.

Nice to see.  I need to make some of those tuning forks. A blow bulb, though they are easier to drop, is actually better. You don't need to put your face up next to it and you aren't blowing moisture into the hole from your lungs and spit which makes cleaning the dust out harder.

HAH ! spit on the drill bit, gets most of the dust out. Then ,using your drink straw from the previous night, blow out the dust . ALWAYS wear glasses,, ALWAYS

Good vid,,, I suggest a trip (trips) to the Valley for every climber

I just carry whippets. One blast for the hole then one blast for the head.

I highly recommend staying away from a gateway drug like whippets.

Next thing you know your fingers will be stuck together from huffing glue and you'll weigh a deuce from over-indulging in banana cream pies.  Believe me I've seen it happen.

Ahh Whippets!!!

Brings back fond memories of my youth, we had a love affair whippets and I.

Two things come to the forefront when i am reminded of nitrous oxide. One is dead shows, myself and a old girlfriend used to bring a 80lb tank and balloons to every show. One of the last times i think was Philly and she fainted face down in the parking lot, mind you she got right back up but people really freaked out and looking back rightfully so. Pathetically enough my response was ahh don't worry about it she does that all the time "as she did". Still though not cool looking back but fun non the less as we are all alive an doing fine none of us huffing whippests. The second is ripping through my home town 24hr Super Stop And Shop tripping our faces off doing laps around the store as we went back and forth from the dairy isle to the paper isle to stash all the empties.

Wild kids kids we were but ow the fun we had! Memories.....
