Great, hope you will be climbing by late March. Possible?

I got a date with Bob D'A in Taos april 1st... new routes along the rio grande rim. then maybe sushifest at the creek later in the month.

i got a bonus too- the surgeon " pre-stretched" the atrophy-ed quad muscles.. by quite a bit.

If that made one leg longer than the other, all you'll be doing is walking in circles.  Hard to seek out FAs that way, I reckon.

Do your PT and good healing, slabbo.

Echoing Grammy (old_school)-- two hip replacement rehabs completed ('03 & '09); climbing 60+ days/year and skiing 70+, pain free (at least from the hips--ankles, elbows, feet--another story  ::))

Good luck John.  Try and refrain from too much falling - or at least landing - for awhile.  That's one reason why us old guys like sports climbing.

Though I can still claim to have healthy hips, knees, and ankles, landing, even the soft ones, are getting more uncomforable by the week.  Sucks to be getting older.
Hat's off to Ward, he's still doing the hard, high-ball stuff.

I do have all original parts, though I must say that I'm a pansy and rehearse them first.   They aren't highball if you don't fall!
