Sweet, Ward.  Like Mark, I thought Farley will be seeping and super sandy.

Looks good, Ward. I'll have to make a run up your way. There is no snow down here in sothern RI, but hearing about the 2 feet just north of here, I figured Farley would be a dripping mess.

We only got seven inches here.  Still a foot of crud in the woods but next to nothing on the south facing slopes.

at the rate things are going I would expect Humphrey's will be good to go as soon as it dries out from this rain. South Buttress should be the same.

What a difference a day makes.  Yesterday, on The Beach (11d).

On the positive side, 50 and pouring; we've lost at least six or eight inches of snowpack today.

As Bill Clinton would say: "GO BABY!"

i have had a few days on Longstack already. watch for ice falling out of the back of the chimney on Layback and arete routes. other than that it has been good, but seepage is still an issue... i have found plenty of lines dry enough to climb.
the rain just killed the rest of the snow around the cliff! a couple warm days and this place should be good to go!

also look for the chinos guide for a complete documentation of the New Durham Area, coming soon... 8)

I dont know if you are still coming, but it is 30 and snowing right now, with a light dusting on the ground.  Sunday looks better than tomorrow; mostly sunny and 35.  As you should know, you can't get there too early.  Once the sun goes off the cliff (around 2 now) it is back to winter.

Thanks for letting us know, Ward.
Not this weekend, I am afraid. I like it 10 deg warmer and sunny :)
Let's hope before end of March.

Well full on snowstorm right now, six inches already and we are supposed to get at least a foot.

Jeeze.

At least I can go skiing today and climb in the basement.
