Yeah, scary how it didn't even break under full body weight. Obviously it was an old sling, but dang.

Looking at that pic of the sling I can tell you I would have backed it up or replaced it 100% of the time. But I'm also very conservative and kind of wimpy.

Something similar (trusting a single insitu sling) led to a double fatality at Red River Gorge a few years ago.
Is the sling light colored originally or was its original color bleached out by the Sun and the elements?
