    I believe they do. I thought I read that Silas Rossi was doing an AIARE level 1 course during the ice fest. I took it with him through IME 2 years ago and it was a phenomenal learning experience. I suggest it to anyone who spends time in avy terrain.

Given the recent spate of AV's--- does MWV do avvy clinics

Ya Strand, IMCS does one or two a winter, Chauvin does a few, Acadia Mountain Guides usually does 1 or 2, Synott will be offering them soon I beleive, EMSCS does about 12 a winter... just about every single weekend of the winter...

AIARE has really set the standard for quality avalanche courses in the country and folks are definitely seeing the benefits of a quality formal course combined with experience...
