Ironically Odell's and South have "Low" conditions today (Sunday).
Yes, how can it be extremely dangerous to low danger less than 24 hours later?
Something rotten here. Even All see it: "have you read the avalanche report? NO WAY I would be up there for several days..."
Those who really care about safety of people most acknowledge.
Did you actually read the report Champ? It explained quite well what happened.
I’ll give you a hint. 80 mile an hour winds FROM THE NORTH.
Hmmm... what would that do to all the super light density snow in Odell’s and South?
But how could it be High the day before?
Well typical Nor’Easter pattern the winds started from the E-SE... so that would have started loading those gullies... and they were probably quite dangerous, until the winds shifted and scoured them clean.
I do agree with you that Al’s blanket statement was a bit conservative... those who read the bulletin daily are quite used to seeing the danger go from High to Low and back to High within a few days... It’s actually not un-common for a Arctic Maritime snow climate...
But you can keep thinking it is a conspiracy...
"Those who really care about safety of people most acknowledge.”
You claim to care about safety, but discredit the bulletin. This is much “ironic” IMO.
