i'm fucking old and shit and the kids give GPS  to new areas. i'm pretty good with gazateers but now.. fucked.

I want a device that is easy to use, big buttons and cheap (under $100)

GPS=goddamn piece of shit. The only place I found it useful was in the desert where everything is flat and looks the same on the map.Kids should get back to basics because once that EMP blasts through none of that shit will work.

John, you using a smartphone style cell phone? Even some flip phones have gps built in. I'd try that first, since you might already own it, but not know it...

John find it on google earth then use a map that is how I outsmart them.

They do google map but the dirt roads don't show. Can you "move" the map to google earth and then maybe see the roads ???

I'm not quite as old a the Strandman but still electronically challenged! I am looking for 1 that can calculate vertical drop and speed for skiing if there is such a thing.
