Your clock Al....
« on: March 15, 2013, 09:05:20 AM »

Hi Al. After seeing numerous people posting WAY to early in the morning, I realize that your clock is 2 hours slow.
Just being helpful and nice.

Same for me. Right now in the upper right corner it says March 15, 2013, 07:17:14 AM and it's 9:17.

Not sure then what's going on. Just below "Simple Machine Forums", the time is one hour slower than my computers time (which is correct). I'm posting this at 10:54pm.

Still an hour off for me too. I think it's been an hour off for a long time and only recently became two hours off -- probably when the clocks went forward an hour.

Same here. Seems like it might be stuck in Standard Time still.

I agree that the time thing can be annoying, once you start noticing it. I've been looking into this on the Simple Machines Forum site. Apparently this forum doesn't deal with DST very well. I'm not sure why. I'm looking for a global solution, but haven't found one yet. SIGH that said, apparently there IS an individual solution. There is supposed to be a numeric setting in your personal options called Overall time offset. Yo should be able to set it to -1. That SHOULD resolve the issue until time changes again. As soon as I find a general solution I'll post that I did it...

Strange
An hour behind still for me Al.

Very strange... Works perfectly for me right now and I didn't change any personal settings.

I checked my personal settings and the time offset was 0. I clicked the "auto detect" button and it changed the setting to 1. When I saved it, the displayed forum times (in posts and under the simple machines forum text in the upper right) now look correct.

However, the actual forum time as displayed under personal settings is still off an hour: Current forum time: March 16, 2013, 11:14:23 AM

I copied that at 12:14:23 PM.

No biggie just hoping this helps you resolve it. My guess is somewhere on the admin/server side there is a setting for daylight savings and it needs to be checked or unchecked.

Ok... I set my personal time offset to 0. Then I set the server to +1. On my setup I see the forum time as 1:44 and that is the time here at the house and on my iPad. Let me know if that works for you.
