The newest trip is Red River. But I must say it was a total system shocker after spending the past month in AZ. At first Cochise and then Sedona. At Cochise a few climbers were here and there on the weekends but during the week it was wide open. That place is amazing!!!!! And the boldness of the guys that went before me is eqealy amazing...
We did run into the usual southern AZ problems, Illegals, boarder patrol, and even a micro light air plane crashed into the strong hold filled with goodies from the other side of the border. The climbing and the spring weather was soooooo nice though. I just need to do 1000 mental push up's a day to get anything done there. Does anyone else find this place sandbagged?
Then we went to Sedona. A total different vertical adventure. The climbing there is so beautiful in every direction. It is just best to concentrate on the view instead of the very questionable rock. In a way it reminded me of a cold day of ice climbing. Wear a helmet and dodge the ice (falling rocks) and such. The more we got around though we got more used to how to avoid the bad stuff and bag some great summits. I also have to say that the mountain biking in Sedona alone is worth a trip. Did some very classic routes in Sedona and never saw another party at all....... No waiting in line there. Unless your on a vortex tour
I can not figure out how to post pics otherwise I would love to post up!
Is any from new england comming down red river? We would enjoy some New England Company
