The bolts are still bomber I bet.

As Don Mellor wrote in an old Adirondacks guide: "The person who coined the phrase 'solid as a rock' has never been rock climbing."

The anchor itself looked pretty solid still. Just the rock around it..

I like that last quote. Climbing yesterday outside for the first time since I was hanging on Jolt last Sunday was interesting. Topped out on b-b-buttress and looked at the anchor and thinking for myself, will this anchor now hold.. The huge rock at the start had just gone missing in the last few weeks. What next..

To Eyebolter-- your point is well taken-- and thanks for reminding me of Don Mellor's quote-- lots of truth there :) BTW I think a trad climber could now use those bolts as a decent ground anchor  :D

Pretty sure that could be a new top anchor for one of Bradley white's  hill side choss scrambles..

Apparently a piece at the bottom of B-buttress came off too..  someone should get a hold of Jim to see what can/should be done about it..   folks with less experience on mtn project seem to be getting antsy to do "clean up"  work.

We climbed b-b-buttress last Saturday and yes, the big block at the start fell off in the last couple of weeks and the start is way harder. We did our best cleaning it up but there is a lot of dirt there.
