Al hopefully I was not misunderstood. I 100% feel that takeing the rope was bad karma. was just playing devils advocate. It is possible that Ed nailed it. the perp was either  completly clueless or had an agenda...

Sporty and I put up a two pitch direct finish to 'New Perversions' on Whitesides. What to name a finish to a route named New Perversions that has one bolt in 300': 'Dirty Dykes Done Dirt Cheap'. It still cracks me up. I had to yell at Yon though when the guide came out and some PC asshole changed 'Dykes' to 'Dikes'.

Papps is that right of traditions?

New P is  right of Whipping Boy. Old Rotert route, in his underground guide it was the only route on the face he gave an 'R' rating to, which freaked everyone out for years (the first time I did it I left a red tri-cam at the crux, went back a year later and retrieved it, so lots of traffic. 15 years later I think that tri-cam is still on my rack, which might explain why no one ever wants to climb with my gear). W/ tri-cams and TCUs it's not that bad, assuming you don't mind major runouts on .7 and .8.
