Great Weather
« on: June 28, 2013, 02:44:51 PM »

I'm so glad to see so many great days in the 10 day forecast for outdoor activities :'(. It looks like it might clear up around July 5th, just in time for the Mass rush to New Hampshire ;).

At least it isn't 118 degrees like it is in Phoenix, or 130 in Death Valley  >:(  I'll take rainy weather over that any day. At least we can go for hikes doing recon and even rough cleaning of routes between showers. I admit I am getting antsy to get on my projects though. Guess I'll have to get started trying my Hof breathing exercises in the mean time.

Put up a new trad route last weekend, only 40 feet but a sweet 0.5 friend crack out an overhang, not a single crack move but great pro.  Given the conditions it was really, really hard, probably 11d but felt way harder.  Cleaned and toproped all day saturday then redpointed it sunday.  Yeah the weather sucks but you can still do stuff. We're going back out there tomorrow.

Good for you.

Rained here as well overnight.  Going out today but may end up in the basement with Ella.  She can make it halfway up the wall at 22 months.

Thanks Al.

Cleaned in the wet all day and managed a new 5.10 on TR when things finally kind of dried out.   Need to wait for better weather for the lead.  Here is Steve on the new line:

Eyebolter great job of staying productive and putting up a new route or preparing for a new route.
The sun did come out today and as I was thinking about climbing the plans they made put end to me. I got to go out and work on the garden instead. All in all a great afternoon even if I did not climb.

Nothing wrong with gardening, that is one of the reasons why I am climbing mostly within 10 minutes of home.

For supper we had haddock my friend caught in Alaska, kale and the first beans out of the garden.   No to mention red wine.  Life is good even if the weather sucks.

Sunny here in the PRV, finally. Couple of buddies up visiting who hadn't been out on the rock for awhile, so we snuck out to Bolton to snag a few moderates. Everything soaking f***ing wet. Oh well.

Went indoor climbing at the CRG in Hadley today.  Air conditioned, no bugs, and Mrs. Eyebolter was happy because the baby was napping.

I can almost see why some people never climb outdoors (just kidding.....almost).
