Cannon cliff condition?
« on: August 14, 2013, 10:34:13 PM »

Hello - wondering if anyone has been up to Cannon very recently and can inform of the condition? How dry is it looking? Seems like a very wet summer so far. Specifically looking at VMC DD and Labyrinth Wall, but general info would be greatly sufficient as well. THanks!

For whatever it is worth, there was a party of two strong climbers that climbed Benedictus, then Lab Wall, then VMC DD, all in one day on August 7.  It took them 13.5 hours car-to-car but none of the routes were done onsight or flashed.

Best condition i've ever seen on cannon on Friday (8/16)! Both Lab wall and VMC DD were bone dry except for some insignificant parts.

p.s. also saw a black bear and a cub while 4 pitches up VMC strolling around the talus. very cool!
p.p.s on the approach we saw a BIG rock fall on moby grape (?!). there was a party of three directly in the path of the fall; looked like everyone was okay.
