AAC Craggin' Classic, September 13-15

Happy September, everyone!

We hope to see you at the AAC's Craggin' Classic climbing festival coming up September 13-15. We're having a Yankee Pig Roast dinner with live music from the Wayfarers on Friday night, September 13, with a silent auction to benefit the Mountain Rescue Service. On Saturday night, enjoy a burrito dinner from the Big Love Mexican Diner's burrito truck and watch slide shows from John Bragg and Madaleine Sorkin. John's going to be talking about rock climbing in the 1970s in North Conway, the Gunks, and Eldo; and Madaleine will be presenting stories from her free-climbing adventures on El Cap, in Kyrgyzstan, and beyond.

All weekend activities will be held on the beautiful grounds of the Glen Ellis Campground in Glen, NH (across the street from Margarita Grill on Rt. 302; about 10 min. from Cathedral Ledge). We'll have plenty of tent space if you want to come camp, or if you want to just show up for the evening events, thats great too.

We're also offering a number of skills clinics taught by some of the Valley's best professional guides, plus a volunteer stewardship activity at Cathedral Ledge, and I hear there's a sick tug-of-war tournament in the works.

For tickets and lots more info, please head here:

Shoot me an email ( if you have any questions or if you'd like to volunteer at the event. If you're able to pre-register by buying tickets online, it's a big help for me for planning food for the crowd -- but don't worry, tickets will also be available at the door.

Thanks! Please spread the word if you can. Hope to see you all there.
Happy climbing--
