« on: September 19, 2013, 06:26:34 PM »

I have recently cleaned a couple of routes and figured id post em in case people are interested.Routes include black crack 5.10 -tabu -5.9---easy rap in from  a large tree, climbers left of upper refuse -with a 60 meter rope you can easily reach the 2 bolt anchor--a small pine at the top of the crack marks where the route finishes----------also a friend of mine cleaned clean sweep for all of you hard/spicily spaced bolt slab addicts---have fun --climb safe----Frank

I had spoken with John a few years back about cleaning that route up and possibly trying to send it but either fear or common sense took over and I focused on cleaning a few others instead. Curious to TR it and see how it goes. Pretty piece of rock...but not sure I want to see it whipping past me at 60MPH as my skin is filleted!   ;)

clean sweep was cleaned a couple of weeks ago but has had a couple of tr,s since so should still be nice-just did black crack yesterday still nice & clean but slightly wet -not too bad considering all the past rain-i also replaced the old 1/4 inch bolt at the crux which is nice if you dont have a few # 5s ---does anyone know where the finish of this is =I have been told you finish up the wide dirt filled gulley to the top but when I cleaned and led it I finished basically on top of the arete following a 5.9+ or so line to the top ---Frank--embrace the wide--

not me I want nothing to do with that type of stuff but my buddys got some sort of strange attraction to it --he was working on cleaning sticks and stones for his next proj yesterday---my next custodial effort i believe will be on dunns ow --checked it out yesterday but i think it needs some sort of natural anchor above the ow otherwise i dont know where youd finish the thing ===stay tuned---frank----embrace the wide=======btw it was nice to see some people on black crack yesterday--both leading and tr-ing --keeping it clean!!

its the ow on the beast but i think it was in  the webster guide they call it Dunns ow ----question for someone --we went to do piss easy the other day and had a hard time figuring out how to get to the base of the ow ----straight up from the traverse ledge on deidre looked thin hard and unprotectable for a long ways -we traversed in from the right and did some really weird runderclinging beneath a roof and the over another roof to enter the climb --kinda makes sense after getting there you would do the chimney under direct and then move left --anybody know how the fa party did it??
