Since I mentioned it the other day, thought I'd share some pictures. Brandie and I got married on the top of Cathedral on 10/5, after climbing Upper Refuse in full wedding attire. Well, not quite a "formal" wedding attire, but it worked for us! The honeymoon was much too short (basically 3 days), up at Acadia (thanks to the azzhats in D.C. we couldn't catch the sunrise on Cadillac, but we did have Otter Cliffs to ourselves!)....
Anyway, we've got a ton of pics, but I'll keep it short. Blue was the theme color for the wedding, if you couldn't guess! This was part of the reason I was anxious to get out of the hospital just over 9 weeks ago from the pleural effusion surgery!!
Al posted this pic a while back, but I'm not sure he knew that this is when/where I actually proposed. We'd been planning the wedding, but I hadn't given her the ring or fully asked her until we climbed UR with Al:
Her ring, planning on adding a sapphire and a band to it in the near future:
The two of us on the approach:
We had a friend that rapped down to the area of the first pitch belay to take pics while we were climbing. He got some incredible shots!
This is what it looked like from the road... The puffy blue dress was easy to pick out, but almost no one knew what it was! You can see 2 of the 3 guys that were on the Book while we were climbing too...
We had the ceremony out on the south end, overlooking Whitehorse:
There may be more and better ones from our photographer, but we're waiting on those.
